Saint Patrick's day parade in Tokyo.

All right already! I know it was not a perfect 100% pure Saint Patrick's day parade. In order to coincide with the Spring Equinox Day national holiday, the event was held a full week after Saint Patrck's day . Unlike myself , a genuine 100% pure German, French, Norwegian, English, Danish, Swedish,Finnish, IRISH American, 90% of the roughly 2000 parade participants and 95% of the 20,000 spectators had not a single drop of Irish blood in their veins. There was no spectacular event like there was in Chicago where they used 50 pounds of vegetable dye to make the whole Chicago river bright green. OK, I only saw one "Irish" band. Still it was an interesting event. The president of Ireland, Mary McAleese was there. I felt happy and completely Irish for almost all the time I was at the parade.. (I did not feel happy when I came across the US army band. At that time I felt decidedly nervous. Maybe I have watched too many episodes of "24". I found myself transformed into the Counter Terrorism Unit's Jack Bauer. I found myself looking up at the windows in search of hidden snipers. I looked down on the ground for some sort of CED .(Camouflaged Explosive Device.) I found myself nervous and wishing to quit the CTU........) Seriously, it was a fun event. If you can, please visit Tokyo the week after Saint Patrick's day and don't forget the parade.
